ICAPP Update (24-65) Year-end Message

Dear Distinguished Colleagues of the ICAPP,

I’d like to express my sincere gratitude, together with my colleagues at the ICAPP Secretariat in Seoul, to all members of the ICAPP family for their strong support and tremendous contributions to the success of our work programs during 2024, including the 12^th General Assembly in Phnom Penh. We all look forward to continuing our efforts in 2025 to achieve the ICAPP’s ultimate goal of building an Asian community for sustainable peace and shared prosperity.

I’d also like to express my appreciation to your kind words of sympathy and condolences to the people of Azerbaijan and South Korea on their losses following the two tragic plane accidents. In particular, your demonstration of solidarity amid a time of national uncertainty had been a great source of encouragement for the people of South Korea. I am confident that current challenges we are facing will be overcome soon by democratic resilience in the country as has been proven numerous times in the past.
