​ICAPP Update (25-22) ICAPP Observer Mission to the 47th World Heritage Committee

Dear Distinguished Members of the ICAPP Standing Committee,

This is to inform you that the ICAPP Secretariat received an invitation letter from the Secretariat of the World Heritage Convention in the UNESCO to attend the 47^th session of the World Heritage Committee which will be held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris during July 6-16, 2025 as observers. Attach are the invitation letter, dated May 12, 2025, and the general information on the session.

In this regard, the Secretariat proposes to send an ICAPP observer mission to be comprised of a limited number of SC Members and headed by Chairperson of the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) of the ICAPP, to the 47^th session of the World Heritage Committee in accordance with the Cooperation Agreement between the UNESCO and the ICAPP, signed on December 4, 2018.

SC Members who are interested in joining the mission are requested to inform the Secretariat not later than June 3, 2025. The ICAPP Secretariat should send the official list of the ICAPP observer mission to the World Heritage Center to receive the registration code. All participants, including observers, are advised to register as soon as possible and preferably by June 6, 2025. Also please be advised that the participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.
