The 9th Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the ICAPP was held successfully in Islamabad, Pakistan during March 28-29, 2008.

The following are major decisions reached during the Meeting.
1) Time and Venue of the 5th General Assembly of the ICAPP
   - October 17-19, 2008 at the National Convention Center in Islamabad, Pakistan
   - The 5th GA will be co-hosted by Pakistan Muslim League, Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians and Pakistan Muslim League-N

2) New Members and Replacements of SC Members
   - New Members
     Hon. Konstantin Kosachev (United Russia Party)
     Hon. Egemen Bagis (Justice and Development Party)
   - Member Replacements
     Hon. Adilbeck R. Jaxybekov (Nur Otan Party of Kazakhstan) to replace Hon. Azat T. Peruash
     Hon. Kazuyoshi Akaba (New Komeito of Japan) to replace Hon. Hiroshi Takano
   - Party Replacement
     The People's Power Party (PPP) of Thailand to replace the Thai Rak Thai Party

3) Establishment of the Secretariat of the ICAPP in Seoul replacing the current provisional Secretariat and nomination of Co-Chairman Chung Eui-yong as the Secretary General of the ICAPP Secretariat

4) Amendments of the Charters
   - Paragraphs 2, 3 and 4 of Article 9 of Chapter 4 on Standing Committee
   - Articles 12 and 13 of Chapter 5 on Secretariat

5) Supports and resolution
   - Strong support for the New Government in Pakistan
   - Support for Successful Olympic Games in Beijing
   - Resolution of ICAPP SC on 'Debt for Equity' Initiative

6) First Priority Project of the ICAPP to be held in Seoul, Korea during May 23-25, 2008
