A Joinst Session between the ICAPP Standing Committee and the Coordinating Body of the COPPPAL(Permanent Conference of Political Parties in Latin America and the Caribbean) will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentine during July 30 to 31, 2009.

The decision was made at the 10th Meeting of the ICAPP Standing Committee, held on March 28, 2009, which was also attended by the three-member delegation of the COPPPAL, headed by Hon. Gustavo Caravajal Moreno, Deputy Chairman of the COPPPAL.

It was further agreed that the joint session should be a policy dialogue on specific issues which matter the peoples in Asia and Latin America, such as terrorism, issues relating to narcotics, good governance, etc. In this regard, a more focused agenda needs to be prepared in advance of this historic occasion.

A proper form of document is expected to be produced as the result of the joint meeting.
