Dear Members of the ICAPP Standing Committee, It is with great pleasure to convey the following message received today from Hon. Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Secretary General of the Pakistan Muslim League and Special Rapporteur of the ICAPP Standing Committee:
"Dear Excellency & friends in the ICAPP,
I am pleased to inform all my friends & colleagues in ICAPP & CAPDI that my election as Senator from the Federal Capital, Islamabad, has been notified by the Election Commission. This election is for a 6-year tenure and the newly-elected Senators are to take their oath of office on March 12.
On this occasion, I wish to thank all my friends and colleagues in ICAPP & CAPDI for their good wishes during the campaign. I would like to particularly thank my elder brother, the Asian Guru, His Excellency Jose de Venecia for his solid and steadfast support and prayers. In my capacity as a parliamentarian, I look forward to a continued, close association with all my friends in ICAPP & CAPDI for promoting our common cause of working together for a better tomorrow for Asia, and an Asian Century with no overlords and no underdogs.
