ICAPP Update (23-66) Regarding the Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Observer Exchange between NAM PN and ICAPP Meetings

Dear Distinguished Members of the ICAPP Standing Committee,

Hon. Chung-Eui Yong, Chairperson of the ICAPP Standing Committee held a meeting with Hon. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network (NAM PN), on November 2, 2023 in Seoul, Republic of Korea. During the meeting, Hon. Sahiba Gafarova suggested the possibility of the ICAPP attending the future meetings of NAM PN as an observer.

The Secretariat is actively considering the option of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between ICAPP and NAM PN to dispatch observers to each other's meetings. In this regard, if there is no specific disagreement with the proposal for the MOU by November 30, 2023, the ICAPP Secretariat will take the necessary measures to negotiate an MOU with NAM PN.
